Dr. Rosanne Mayhew, director of the offices of For Women by Women, attended the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago and completed her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Mayhew then entered private practice in Houston in 1986, and moved her practice to Los Gatos in 1988 where she has happily maintained a robust practice.

As a Board Certified member of the California Medical Association and a volunteer educator for the American Cancer Society Dr. Mayhew believes women need to be well informed regarding the latest detection methods and procedures for treating female related cancers. She is a volunteer educator for the American Cancer Society. She is a firm believer in providing as much information and knowledge to her patients as they want to take on.

Dr. Mayhew is here to serve your healthcare needs and is dedicated to providing you the best care possible. It is important that you understand that For Women by Women puts you, and not your insurance company, in charge of your healthcare. Whether or not you want obstetrical/gynecological care, primary care, or products and services to improve your appearance, Dr. Mayhew will work with you to determine your needs and coordinate the right treatment plan. Dr. Mayhew will assist you in understanding your insurance plan and how the plan pays. She offers customer service in helping you understand how the billing process works and how you can manage and bill your insurance company. Since we are contracted with only a few insurance companies we will make every effort to work with patients without insurance or out-of-network patients.  We also offer discounts off of our usual fees for services paid at the time of visit. Cosmetic services and products are not subject to this discount. Dr. Mayhew takes pride in being involved in the well being of her patients. Whether or not you are being treated by a primary care physician, Dr. Mayhew will coordinate this care with you. For example if you are being treated for a thyroid condition, depression, high cholesterol, stress, or urinary incontinence, it is important that the care be coordinated, especially when medications are involved. Dr. Mayhew can serve in some cases as a woman's primary care physician, integrating the needs of both gynecological services and overall well-being. Dr. Mayhew encourages investment in your self and your future health - especially for women today who, in our fast-paced society, are doing it all, but may need help structuring a personal health program.  She takes time every day to go over your diet, activities and supplemental regime.

Dr. Mayhew performs all her procedures herself so you can be confident that you are receiving the treatment from an experienced doctor and surgeon. In addition, Dr. Mayhew is experienced with two different types of lasers. These lasers include:

2. Elos eMax System (Refirme™, Rejuvenate™, Matrix™)
3. Fraxel Refine™
